The sad news has already swept the real and virtual world all over. The visionary of Apple Computers has passed about a month after leaving the company and passing the torch to Tim Cook.

While few in the Tech world will be shocked that Jobs has passed (it’s been no mystery that he has been ill for years) I feel many (including myself) are shocked that it’s so very sudden after his resignation from Apple. I personally give the man a lot of respect for essentially working till the end. It was another example of Steve’s never ending drive that he was so well known for.

While I’ve never been a fan of Steve the man, I will admit that I’ve always had respect for his vision and determination. Even as someone that has always supported open architecture I have to admit that there were times I looked at Steve’s creations after he returned to Apple and though “That’s pretty sharp.” I eventually broke down and purchased an iPod, but limited myself to that. I now work in an environment that is 80% Mac, which is a nice dose of irony for me. I think it’s also allowed me to glean a little bit of that vision that Jobs had such a clear focus on.

In closing, I’d like to say that while it’s a over used cliche, I can think of no better way to say it. The world already feels smaller and a bit more drab without Mr. Jobs. Godspeed Sir!

Any of you olde enough to have grown up on the Animaniacs or if you are like me, had a step daughter that grew up on them, you get the reference. For the rest of you, crawl out from under that rock and get some cartoon culture would ya?

Ok, so that’s right, this is one of those “Tech” blogs that are a dime a dozen. What a moron I must be since there are already eleventy-million!!11111 of them already right? Well, here’s the way I see it. It’s a big world wide web and I’m just going to make it a little bigger. If I help someone in the process, then I’ll feel better.

So, keep your eye’s peeled. As soon as I figure out some categories and get some things underway, content will be popping up around here. You can expect everything from some random piece of tech that I think is cool, to a podcast of my rambling on about a subject. Anything in between, well, read at your own risk.
